Frequently Asked Questions
A trimmer error that returns after you clear the thread is one of the clearest signs. Others are thread-break stops when the thread is intact, skipped stitches that survive rethreading and a fresh bobbin, and bird nests under the needle plate. For skipped stitches, Barudan's own guide says to check threading, the bobbin, and hook oiling before hook timing.
It starts with a free quote by phone or online, using the model, the serial number, and any error code. At your shop, the first checks are the basics of machine maintenance: threading, the bobbin, and oil. Then we move on to the trimmer, sensors, and hook timing. Each repaired head then sews a test design before the visit ends.
Local service costs $100 per hour with a 2-hour minimum. For shops more than a 45-minute drive from Buford, service costs $120 per hour, plus $65 per hour for driving time in both directions. The total depends on the work required. See our on-site service pricing for overnight and fly-in charges.
Check the written warranty terms and ask the manufacturer before booking independent repair on a machine that is still covered. We use those names only to identify the machines we service, such as Ricoma lines and Brother PR machines.
It depends on the fault and how many heads it reaches. Clearing a trimmer error on one head is quicker than tracing thread breaks along a multi-head line, and a part on order adds time. An older machine that has drifted out of adjustment can also take longer, whether it is a Barudan or a Tajima.
